Day 12 (Phoenix to Las Vegas)
June 16th
Left our hotel in Phoenix some time late morning to go find out what Vegas had to offer. The drive over was fairly uneventful. We stopped at a roadside Native American restaurant for lunch, in Wikieup, a small town in Northern Arizona, where we saw two peacocks outside. We also made a quick stop so Peter could take some photos for his summer job with local photographer, Herbert Law. Alex decided to join in on the fun. Riley and I finished the Bourne trilogy in the van and we continued on our way to the strip, where we had a reservation for a 1,300 square ft suite in The Planet Hollywood hotel. And then there was Vegas…
